Sweet Dreams Erin

So I right now Erin is knee deep in boxes and furniture piles in her new home.  She did come up quickly for air with an email that mentioned nothing fitting in her new house and a trip to the doctor thanks to the flu I so graciously passed on to her.  Let's all send Erin happy, relaxing thoughts and home that she finds sweet dreams somewhere like this soon

Ok, maybe not quite her style but I bet she'd nap in a cardboard box right now if she could so she should really be sending us all a big fat thank you for being so thoughtful.

Sweet Dreams Erin!

Double Sickness

I have a full blown case of the achy sniffles. All of my bones feel like glass, which is somewhat apropos since I intend to spend the entire miserable day parked in front of my computer searching for a light fixture like this: kalmar ice glass chandelier

As you may recall from this weirdo post I am mildly obsessed with Mazzega, Vistosi, and of course Kalmar, chandeliers. I may or may not already own a vintage lucite (ok, plastic) version that I picked up for a song, but there's something about real glass that always sings its sweet siren song to my wallet.

Let me know if you come across one that costs less than an international adoption. I'm too capricious for that kind of commitment.

Crappy iPhone Picture of Our New Floors

Sure I have a master's degree in photography, but why would I use a real camera to take pictures when I can use my phone? Yeah, I'm a dolt. But I'm also very tired and I'm getting sick, so it is what it is. Don't worry -- better pictures will follow, but I thought that maybe you'd forgive my laziness if I threw you wooden bone. Behold: white oak engineered flooring

Ok, that is a really bad picture -- so bad I can't believe I'm even posting it. Please note that the 2000 cans of paint samples are applying pressure to a board I asked to have ripped out and replaced because I thought it was too dark. And because I am a nightmare. Also note that there are 2000 cans of paint samples. I really have a problem.

That is some wholesome rustic goodness, though. I need some leggy sculptural pieces to provide the proper foil... I think I'm going for a bad girl Euro vibe. Maybe kind of like this:

Or maybe more comfortable.

We'll see how that pans out.
